Salaam Direct is the trading name of Afkar Consulting Ltd. The e-commerce website salaamdirect.co.uk is a project of Salaam Direct.

Salaam Direct has taken every care in the preparation of the content of this website, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at time of publishing and all products have been fairly described. However, orders will only be accepted if there are no material errors in the description of the goods or their prices as advertised on this website.

The weights, dimensions and capacities given are approximate only. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on the website. However, as the actual colours you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the product on delivery

The product offerings of salaamdirect.co.uk are directed solely at individual consumers.

Registration and password

To register with salaamdirect.co.uk you must be over eighteen years of age. When you register, together with other data, you will be asked to choose a contact e-mail address and password. You are responsible for all sessions and transactions undertaken using these details. You should keep your password safe and not disclose it to anyone. If any of your details change you must inform Salaam Direct as soon as possible. You may update your details by signing into your account on the website.

The contract

When you place an order for the purchase of goods or services from salaamdirect.co.uk, a contract is established between Salaam Direct, a trading name of Afkar Consulting Ltd, and yourself, based on the terms and conditions outline below. The contract for the purchase of materials from salaamdirect.co.uk will be deemed to be effective at the point at which send you an email confirming receipt of your order, irrespective of whether your receive this email or not.

Our invoice to you will indicate the VAT element separately where this is applicable. Salaam Direct is entitled to withdraw from any contract in the case of obvious errors or inaccuracies regarding the goods appearing on our website. If an error or inaccuracy is discovered with regards to the advertised price of the goods that you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as possible by e-mail. This will be to inform you of the correct price of the goods, and to ask you if you wish to continue with the order at the amended price, or to cancel the order altogether.

Order Processing

When you place an order to purchase a product we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order (the order confirmation email) and containing its details. We will endeavour to despatch goods within 48 hours of receipt of the order or less. Salaam Direct will initiate settlement via its payment gateway on order placement.

Cancellations and Returns

If you are not satisfied with the goods then these must be returned within 7 days of receipt and must be accompanied with a Returns Form [sent to you with the goods] to the address indicated [on the Form]. A full refund of cost of goods including postage will be then be made so long as the returned items remain in their original condition. Alternatively, you can be issued with a voucher to purchase goods of an equivalent cost. No refund will be made if the returned goods have been soiled or damaged and neither will your postage costs be refunded.When mailing your return please obtain a proof of postage certificate which is available free of charge from any Post Office.

Item Replacement (Halal Hampers)

Should an item be temporarily out of stock, we reserve the right to replace it with an item of equal or higher value.

Virus, Hacking and other offences

You must not misuse the Online Services by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Online Services, the server on which the Online Services is stored or any server, computer or database connected to the Online Services. You must not attack the Online Services via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack.

By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use the Online Services will cease immediately. We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a distributed denial-of-service attack, viruses or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of the Online Services or to your downloading of any material posted on it, or on any website linked to it.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, salaamdirect.co.uk, Salaam Direct and any of its employees, agents or suppliers shall not be liable for any loss, injury, claim, liability, or damage of any kind resulting in any way from (a) any errors in or omissions in the information presented on this website and (b) your use or misuse of any of the products purchased via this website.

Whilst reasonable efforts are made to keep the contents of salaamdirect.co.uk up to date, we may suspend access to the online services, or close it indefinitely. Any of the material on the online services may be out of date at any given time, and we are under no obligation to update such material.

We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our opinion you have failed to comply with the terms and conditions stated here.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England.

We may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time. You are expected to check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we made, as they are binding on you.
